  I really wanted to like this place. Came in with my husband for some late lunch (2:30pm on a Sunday). We came in, no one greeted us, so we sat at a booth. Waited about 5 min for the waitress to notice us and bring us menus. There were only 2 other tables besides us, one already had food, the other only had drinks. We waited another 30 min, and the waitress never came back to take our order.. and in those 30 min, the table behind us still didn't have food either. We decided to leave. Like I said, I really wanted to like this place. It's really hard to find GOOD Latin food on this side of the country.. will be coming back later when I have the time to wait for slow service.

  We came in for dinner and ordered the oxtail stew, the chicken stew and the mangu. The food was not just AMAZING but fresh and very tasty!! The portions were more then generous and our waitress was very attentive!! Definitely a great Caribbean/Dominican restaurant in the heart of Gastonia. They never disappoint!!
